MUNICIPAL ASSESSOR'S OFFICE

A dedicated and technically competent personnel who can manage/perform real property assessment for sustainable  revenue generation.

To reach our vision, the office shall:

• Ensure that all laws and policies governing the appraisal and assessment of real properties are properly executed.

• Establish a systematic method of real property assessment.

• Conduct frequent physical survey of real property.

• Install and maintain a system of tax mapping, showing graphically all properties subject to assessment and gather all data concerning the same

• Provide on-line computer-based information to taxpayers.

A. TAX MAPPING SECTION
• Secure Cadastral Maps from the Bureau of Lands, DAR, LRA and Private Geodetic Engineers and other sources.
• Prepare, maintain and update tax maps, tax map control rolls, base maps and other related maps.
• Secure cadastral maps and other maps from various sources for purpose sof tax mapping operations.
• Monitor and update tax mapping operations and property inventory.
• Coordinates with the Assessment Operations section in matters relative to property location, area, improvements,
• ownership and Property Index Numbers.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time in the interest of the service.

B. ASSESSMENT AND APPRAISAL SECTION

• Provide services to Real Property owner, administrators and other concern;
• Prepare the appraisal and assessment transactions made in the office of the Municipal Assessor.
• Prepare the Field Appraisal and Assessment Sheets (FAAS)and supporting documents submitted by the Tax Mapping
• section to determine the correctness of the RPU classifications, application of Schedule of Market values and
• assessment levels.
• Assign Assessment of Real Property (ARP) numbers to approved FAAS.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time in the interest of the service.

C. RECORDS MANAGEMENT SECTION
• Act as Custodian of all Assessment records, documents and other official papers.
• Update all Field Appraisal and Assessment Sheets (FAAS) of Real Property Units in the Province.
• Develop and implement a record management system for the municipality.
• Issue, upon request of the interested party, certified true copies of assessment records of real property and all
• assessment records relative to its assessment.
• Prepare and submit assessment reports to the Provincial Office and other concerned offices
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time in the interest of the service.
